The exhibit “Beautiful Minds – Dyslexia and the Creative Advantage” is now open to show families what dyslexia really is and some of the challenges associated with dyslexia. Although dyslexia is labeled as a learning disability, it can also be seen as a different way of thinking. In the exhibit you will also learn about what dyslexia really is and the truth behind some of the negative myths that are perpetuated in society. “Beautiful Minds – Dyslexia and the Creative Advantage” will be on display until March 28, 2021.

The two events are designed to encourage the community to reflect on attitudes and assumptions about individuals who learn differently and inspire an inclusive society. An oversized tile spelling game, color block puzzles, and digital interactive educational games also offer unique learning opportunities for all ages. “The exhibit’s appeal spans communities from learners, caregivers and educators," said Dan Menelly, CEO of The DoSeum. “As a mother to three children, I understand that every child learns differently," said Sara Pfeifer, vice-president of development for The DoSeum.

Little Doers Preschool has extended careThe DoSeums popular preschool program, The Little Doers, also returns for its fifth year. Each session will focus on one content and the cost for each session is $50, The Doseum said.
