Read full article: Fire forces family to evacuate home, causes $185K in damage, fire officials saySAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio family safely escaped a late-night two-story house fire in the city’s Northside , but the fire caused extensive damage to their home, fire officials said Wednesday. Firefighters said they arrived to find flames coming from the second level of the two-story home. Initial reports were that a child was trapped inside, but when they arrived everyone including the pets had made it safely out, fire officials said. The Bexar-Bulverde Volunteer Fire Department said they received help from surrounding fire departments including Shavano Park, Camp Bullis, and Spring Branch. A family member told KSAT the family who lived at the home are staying with a relative.
