San Antonio police arrest a suspect connected with the fatal shooting of a Sonic Drive-In manager in July on the Northwest Side.

A man accused of fatally shooting two people and hospitalizing another is now behind bars after being apprehended in Las Vegas, according to Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar.

SAN ANTONIO – Taylor McCowan, 23, died Saturday nearly two weeks after being hit by a deputy U.S. Marshal in a wrong-way driving crash, according to San Antonio police. Jonathan Jones, 40, was driving a pickup truck in the wrong direction on Loop 1604 before crashing head-on into a sedan on Jan. 31, police said. SAN ANTONIO – District clerk records show a deputy US Marshal was the driver of a pickup truck that crashed head-on into a sedan on Loop 1604 around 1 a.m. Friday, injuring the driver of the other vehicle. Jones was arrested Friday morning on intoxication assault charges after the crash which occurred near the Babcock Road exit on San Antonio’s Northwest side. “We take seriously any allegation of misconduct by our personnel and an internal investigation will be conducted,” Bozeman said in a news release.
