A new special care clinic at the UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry is focused on getting patients with disabilities the dental care they often have trouble accessing.

A visit to the dentist can bring anxiety, but it can be even more stressful for families who care for adults or children with special needs.

SAN ANTONIO – About 250 Edgewood Independent School District second-grade students received free preventive oral health care on Friday from dental students and residents of UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. The dental clinic is being held in conjunction with National Children’s Dental Health Month.
