The Texas coast is a popular destination during the summer so if you plan on hitting the beach, make sure to avoid the fecal hot spots. āWater samples are collected from 164 stations at approximately 61 recreational beaches along the Texas coast in Aransas, Brazoria, Cameron, Galveston, Jefferson, Kleberg, Matagorda, Nueces and San Patricio counties,ā according to the Texas Beach Watch website. Samples are collected weekly from May through September and bi-weekly the rest of the year, except in March when āwhen weekly sampling is conducted to coincide with spring break," the website states. A Jeep, which appears to be new, flipped after the driver hit a half-buried log, according to a post on the PINS Facebook page. Watch alligator disappear as it swims into waves at Texas beachāThis driver was traveling below the speed limit in heavy fog and didnāt see this half-buried log before the vehicle hit it,ā the post says, in part. The photo shows a Jeep and a small log on the beach with a park ranger vehicle in the background. Nobody was hurt as a result of the accident, according to the post, but commenters are speculating the likelihood of a vehicle flipping when going 15 mph, which is the speed limit along the seashore.
