The incident began around 1:30 a.m. near Blanco Road and Jackson Keller Road. According to police, CHPD officers attempted a traffic stop but the driver instead sped off, turning onto Dresden Drive at a high-rate of speed and then rolling the vehicle over. Police said the vehicle came to a stop between some power lines and a nearby brick wall. The driver had an outstanding warrant and will also be charged with evading arrest, police said.

The fire was called in around 9:30 p.m. at an apartment complex in the 7200 block of Blanco Road, not far from Lockhill Selma Road. Firefighters said when they arrived, smoke had already filled up the top and bottom apartments, but both were vacant. Investigators say they believe some homeless people got into the apartment and started the fire. Both the San Antonio Fire Department and San Antonio Police Department answered the call.

The first incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. at a J&A Grocery in the 3100 block of Blanco Road, not far from Fresno Street on the city’s North Side. A second robbery then occurred around 11:45 p.m. at a Citgo gas station in the 1300 block of Gardina, not far Vance Jackson Road. In that robbery, two men also walked into the store and robbed the clerk at gunpoint. SAPD said at this point they are not sure if the two robberies are related, but that they did occur not far from one another.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. in the 10700 block of Blanco Road, near the intersection of West Avenue. According to police, Hermenegilda Fuentes Loa was trying to cross Blanco from west to east when she was struck by a 2008 blue Lincoln traveling northbound. Police said Loa was wearing dark clothing and not in a crosswalk when she was hit. Authorities said the area is dimly lit and that the driver of the vehicle did stop to render aid.
