SAN ANTONIO – A 14-year-old boy who attended school in the Harlandale Independent School District has died following a shooting on the South Side, according to San Antonio police. Angel Jerry was taken to Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries, according to police. No suspect information is available as of yet, but police said they are looking for a light-colored Sedan. On Monday, Harlandale ISD sent a letter to parents, informing them about Angel Jerry’s death. SAN ANTONIO – A young boy is hospitalized in “very critical condition” after accidentally shooting himself in the head with a loaded gun, according to San Antonio police. The incident happened Friday evening at an apartment in the 1100 block of Callaghan Road. After arriving at the scene, police discovered the young boy, who is 12-years-old, had gotten ahold of the loaded gun and accidentally shot himself. The boy’s older brother, who owned the pistol, told police he was cleaning the gun before he laid it down. Just seconds later, his younger brother picked it up, and that’s when it accidentally fired, according to officials.

PORTER, Texas – A 3-year-old Houston-area boy was killed when he shot himself accidentally at his own birthday party, sheriff’s officials said. The incident was reported shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday at a home in Porter, 25 miles (40 kilometers) northeast of Houston, according to a statement from the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office. The child’s family and friends told investigators that they were playing cards when they heard a gunshot and the boy was found with a chest wound, according to the statement. SAN ANTONIO – A man is accused of inappropriately touching an 11-year-old boy and offering him money to perform a sex act, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Juan Carlos Castillo Reyes, 34, was arrested Thursday on a charge of prostitution-person solicited, online records with the Bexar County Jail show. An arrest affidavit states the boy made an outcry of sexual abuse at his school on Sept. 22. He told police the man inappropriately touched him and offered him money for a sex act on multiple occasions. Investigators interviewed Reyes on Thursday when he admitted to offering the boy money in exchange for sex, the affidavit states.

San Antonio police are searching for a 17-year-old boy who disappeared on Friday. Sebastian Eduardo Vazquez Carpio was last seen in the 5500 block of Burgate Farm on the West Side, according to the San Antonio Police Department. Carpio is 6 feet tall, weighs 140 pounds, has brown eyes and has brown hair, police said. Police said the teenager was wearing a light blue long-sleeved shirt, black shorts and a black backpack when he disappeared. SALT LAKE CITY A police department vowed Tuesday to cooperate with multiple investigations of the shooting of a 13-year-old autistic boy by officers in the Salt Lake City area. The Salt Lake City Police Department said the officers were called to a home in Glendale, Utah, Friday night with a report of a boy who had threatened people with a weapon. The boy reportedly ran and was shot by an officer after being pursued by police. No weapon was found Friday, the Salt Lake Tribune reported. Salt Lake Mayor Erin Mendenhall said in a statement late Sunday that the shooting was a tragedy and called for a swift and transparent investigation.

HOUSTON A 12-year-old boy was arrested and charged in the fatal shooting of a 51-year-old woman in suburban Houston. Sharon Hawkins was found Saturday with multiple gunshot wounds in a bedroom at an apartment complex in the Greater Greenspoint area of Harris County, the Houston Chronicle reported. The boy, whose name has not been released because he is a minor, was charged with murder and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon through the Harris County Juvenile Probation Office. They say he lied when he told investigators that he spotted a suspect leaving the apartment dressed in all-black clothing. Smith said he could not say whether the boy knew the woman.

SAN ANTONIO A teenage boy was sent to the hospital after he was hit by a car while riding a bicycle late Thursday. San Antonio police responded to the scene around 10:40 p.m. in the 400 block of W. Mulberry Ave., near San Pedro Avenue on the North Side. Officers said the boy may have overlooked a traffic light before he was hit by a black sedan. He was taken to a hospital in stable condition. SAPD, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS responded to the scene.

SAN ANTONIO A 4-year-old boy is hospitalized and in serious condition after he nearly drowned in his familys pool on the Fourth of July, according to San Antonio police. The incident happened on the North Side, Sunday afternoon in the 14000 block of Chadbourne Street. However, when she came back outside, police said the boy was found at the bottom of the pool. The boys sister went inside to notify adults of what happened and the boys uncle was able to pull him out of the water. He was taken to North Central Baptist Hospital and thats when medical personnel were able to bring back his pulse.

SAN ANTONIO An 11-year-old boy is in serious condition in the hospital after San Antonio police said he was shot in the living room of his home overnight. According to police, others were in the back of the home when they heard the gunshot and rushed to the living room. Thats when they found the boy had been shot. The residents told officers that they were unsure if it was a drive-by shooting or if someone had walked up to the home and shot the boy. Police said the boy was taken to the Brooke Army Medical Center in critical condition.
