The City of Leon Valley is making moves to pass a city ordinance that would prohibit feeding deer in city parks and on city-owned property.

Leon Valley City Manager Gilbert Perales has resigned after only being with the city for a short time, according to a resignation letter obtained by KSAT.

Local leaders hope changes along the Highway 16 corridor will create safer conditions for pedestrians and drivers.

LAKE TRAVIS, Texas – Several boats sunk in Lake Travis on Saturday during a Trump boat parade. Waters became rough along the parade route which caused several boats to sink “because they were too small for the waves being created,” said Robert Weiss, owner of Lake Travis Scuba. Weiss said it was important to get the boat out of the water quickly due to gas and oil that could leak into Lake Travis. That owner is already getting electrical components replaced so it can get back in the water, Weiss said.
