San Antonio has never officially recorded snow on Christmas Day

Police say a serial burglar has been caught attempting to poach Christmas presents from actor Robert De Niro’s Manhattan home.

SAN ANTONIO – A gift that is sure to warm the hearts of even the coldest Grinch is a puppy or kitty, however, Animal Care Services wants to remind the public to make responsible pet adoption decisions around the holidays. The city shelter strongly encourages that “pet parents” make informed decisions when adopting pets at any time of the year because having a pet is a long-term commitment. According to the shelter, area shelters and rescue organizations have hundreds of adoption ready pets who are invested in placing you with the perfect pet. “Vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery are generally included in the adoption fee and many animal agencies will have regular specials during the holidays,” the shelter said in a statement. There is also a change coming in 2021 when it comes to pet stores in the city.

SAN ANTONIO – Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe wants to feed you and help the community for the holidays. From now until December 23rd, when you order the Turkey Cran or The Grinch crepes, a portion of the proceeds will benefit the San Antonio Food Bank and Culinaria. The San Antonio Food Bank feeds about 58,000 individuals in a week and the Culinaria Hospitality Fund helps San Antonio’s struggling hospitality industry including restaurants and bars that have been hit hard during the pandemic. Sweet Paris Creperie & Cafe is located at the Shops at La Cantera. Stop by and enjoy one of their tasty holiday snacks and give back for the holidays.

SAN ANTONIO – Pediatric patients at University Hospital got a special visit from a holiday celebrity Tuesday morning. Santa Claus showed up to bring some holiday cheer, including the delivery of presents, for the kiddos. Jolly St. Nick also brought along an unlikely friend -- the Grinch, to spend some time with the children. We understand the Grinch was nice with the patients.

UNIVERSAL CITY, Texas – Another porch pirate was seen stealing a package off a front porch, this time in Universal City. The thief can be seen getting into the passenger side of a red, two-door car after swiping the package. Mail theft has been caught on camera numerous times around the San Antonio area this year. A woman was seen on a Ring camera stealing packages in a San Antonio neighborhood on Nov. 8. Another woman was caught on camera stealing a package on Nov. 5 on the East Side.
