Eighty percent of people who would benefit from hearing aids don't wear them, according to the National Institutes of Health. That's because of cost, access and stigma. However, a new move by the FDA may change all of that.

Consumer Reports reveals some important information about how hearing aids may be associated with a smaller risk of cognitive decline. The study found that older people who got a hearing aid within three years of receiving a diagnosis of hearing loss had a lower rate of dementia, depression, and falls than people who didn’t get a hearing device.
