SAN ANTONIO – It’s not just about gray and yellow in 2021. Spring is the season for color, so it’s the perfect time to add a few new shades to your makeup routine. ELSEWEAR Cosmetics, a San Antonio-based makeup brand, shows us what’s trending for spring makeup looks in the video above. Save your pennies, everyone, because you dont need to dish out the big bucks for beauty products. Instead, just stick to the cheap stuff, StyleWise style editor Jon Jordan said in his latest video. And by cheap, we mean inexpensive. For example, Jordan explains that baby powder is something great to have on hand because it works as a fantastic dry shampoo. So instead of purchasing a fancy, expensive, top-of-the-line dry shampoo, just use generic baby powder.

If you’ve never thought about sanitizing your makeup brushes, now may be the time to do it. Hopefully you’re not sharing any makeup brushes while you’re quarantined, but even if you’re not -- making sure you have a clean makeup brush can help stop the spread of any kind of germs that may be residing on your face. Cleaning the brushes with soap and water is a step in the right direction, but Jordan suggests making sure you soak the brushes in isopropyl alcohol so they are fully sanitized. And if you’re worried about the brushes drying out, just soak them in some water and hair conditioner after the alcohol. Even when it comes to the packaging of makeup products, Jordan suggests finding ones that are in bottles or have pumps; that way, you don’t cross-contaminate while touching the product.
