A team of investigators descended on a home in the 300 block of East Mayfield that they believe was the site of the gambling operation and more. The sheriff said the raid came about through a joint investigation, initiated by a tip his office had received. āI can certainly see where the neighbors would not want this sort of operation going on in whatās really a nice quiet little neighborhood,ā he said. Investigators seized more than $4,400 in cash, the motherboards from 18 gambling machines and a stolen car.

Sheriff Javier Salazar said two people with unrelated felony warrants and an employee in charge were taken into custody. Salazar said more arrests and federal charges are anticipated in the case due to the commercial quantity of the meth. The sheriff said the bust was a joint operation between BCSO, the fire marshalās office, the Texas Department of Public Safety and the state comptrollerās office.
