SAN ANTONIO – A fire that broke out early Wednesday has caused major damage to a former restaurant on the Northeast Side. A passerby noticed the flames and smoke around 3:30 a.m. and called firefighters to the 4500 block of Rittiman Road. They found fire coming out of the building, which used to house a Sonic fast food restaurant. At one point, there were more than a dozen fire units at the scene, including a ladder truck. Firefighters had to battle windy conditions to keep the fire from spreading to a gas station next door.

SAN ANTONIO – “Sonic” the hedgehog has found a new place to call home in San Antonio.
