A man was arrested after San Antonio police say he robbed the Macy’s at South Park Mall last month.

San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are searching for two people responsible for the robbery of a Macy’s at South Park Mall back in February.

A suspect who was shot and killed as a man tried to recover his stolen truck outside South Park Mall has been identified.

A suspect is dead and his passenger was injured after the owner of a stolen truck shot at them while trying to recover his vehicle on the South Side, according to Chief William McManus.

The video shows an SAPD officer pointing his service weapon at the armed man, who refuses to drop his gun while he is walking. The video ends with the officers surrounding the man, who was shot after Police Chief William McManus said he raised his gun toward officers. The suspect, who was driving an 18-wheeler, had been stopped for a traffic violation, a preliminary police report released Thursday said. The man ran into the mall and exited Dick’s Sporting Goods, where he was encountered by officers and eventually shot several times, the report said.

An officer assigned with inspecting big rigs pulled over the driver of an 18-wheeler near Zarzamora and Southwest Military Drive around 11:30 a.m., according to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus. San Antonio police are searching for two teenagers who set off fireworks inside Ingram Park Mall, leading to panic for shoppers who thought it was a shooting.
