Helena Paige-Marie Dumas of San Antonio was pronounced dead on Saturday night after her family took her off life support, Sgt. San Patricio County Sheriff Oscar Rivera called the crash “horrific,” saying the scene will “forever be engraved” in the minds of first responders.

If you think you can read your teen’s texts to find out what they’re up to, think again. Code words are now a popular practice among young people, and if you don’t know the lingo, you’re out of luck. Here are some common phrases teens use that should put their parents on high alert. If you haven’t noticed, teenagers have a language all their own, but some of the words your teen uses could be code for sex, drugs, or other risky behaviors. “Brown sugar” is code for heroin, and “getting some blueberries” might actually refer to painkillers like Percocet.

SAPD: Teens steal car on city’s South Side, then wreck and run
SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police say two teens who may not have been old enough to drive caused a wreck on the city’s South Side Friday morning that has left two adults paying for the damage. She said the two teens took her by surprise and took off with the car. “I told that (clerk) I just had a weird feeling.”Police tracked down the stolen car after the teen driver crashed at Southcross and Tupper. He said the teens in the stolen car ran a stop sign and clipped the back end of his pickup. It’s not even a day yet, it’s a morning,” said the stolen car victim.
Black womens advocacy group focuses on teen domestic violence
A report from the National Center for Victims of Crime found that 53.8% of black women had experienced psychological abuse, and 41.2% of black women had experienced physical abuse. "Domestic violence or teen violence is usually replicated because they've seen it somewhere else. If you are in a domestic violence relationship, we don't want you to have to self identify."
