SAN MARCOS, Texas – Police arrested and charged a woman after a fatal traffic accident in San Marcos Tuesday evening.
Shana Lee Elliott, 21, crashed into another car in the 1700 block of Highway 21 just after 6 p.m.

San Marcos police said the vehicle Elliott was driving crossed the center line and struck a car. Inside the car was the driver, Kristian Nicole Guerrero, 24, and her husband, Fabian Guerrero-Moreno, 23.
Guerrero-Moreno died at the scene. His wife was taken to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for treatment.
Elliott, who received minor injuries, has been charged with one count of intoxication manslaughter and one count of intoxication assault.
