Woman, 3-year-old injured after car hits St. Anthony Hotel

Driver lost control after first hitting another car, police say

SAN ANTONIO – A woman and her three-year-old daughter have been taken to a hospital for treatment after their car slammed into an outside wall of the St. Anthony Hotel downtown.

Officers who responded to the scene after 12 a.m. Tuesday said the woman was driving in the area when she hit another car and then lost control of her vehicle. The car with her and her three-year-old inside then hit the outer wall of the hotel.

The building, located in the 300 block of E. Travis, was left with some minor damage. Police said no one inside the hotel was hurt.

Officers did not disclose the nature of the injuries that the woman and her child sufffered. However, they did say the child was strapped into a car seat at the time of the crash.

Police did not know right away whether the driver would face any charges.
