Driving through the Texas A&M campus just got a bit more spirited.
The university installed permanent rumble strips this month that hum "Hullabaloo-Canek-Canek" as people drive over them along George Bush Drive, near the entrance to the George Bush Presidential Library.
According to a post on the Texas Aggie Band Association's Facebook page, the strips were placed based on wheel-base size. The left lane is measured for cars and the right lane is measured for trucks.
For the best sound, the group said to drive at 40 mph because it matches the tempo at which the Fightin' Aggie Band marches — 104 beats per minute.

In an interview with The Bryan-College Station Eagle, Associate Vice Chancellor John Barton said it was Chancellor John Sharp's idea to install the strips. The school hopes the rumble strips will become an attraction for those who visit Aggie Land.
"We hope at some point this is like the Dixie Chicken — people come to College Station and they've got to see the chancellor's Hullaballoo rumble strips," Barton told the paper.
Barton said this is not just a spirit feature, but a "safety project at its core."
