SAN ANTONIO – Authorities have released the name of a good Samaritan killed in a hit-and-run crash on the city's Northeast Side.
The victim was identified as Lloyd Littrell, 68, of Converse.
Police said a pickup truck hit Littrell while he was helping another driver who was involved in another hit-and-run crash around 9 p.m. Sunday on FM 78 between North Foster Road and Woodlake Parkway.
Littrell was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center, where he died overnight, police said.

Police said the area where the fatality happened is poorly lit.
Littrell's wife said the Air Force veteran of 24 years would always help in any way he could.
She said she wants justice for her husband.
Police shared her sentiment.
"He took a life, and that's not easy," San Antonio police Officer Carlos Ortiz said. "If it was one of our own, we'd be looking for him. And we're here to serve the public, and we're going to be looking for that gentleman."
Police said the hit-and-run driver was in a silver 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
"I would like him to come forward. I would like him to own up to what happened," Ortiz said.
Man arrested after stabbing brother-in-law in neck
Police are asking the public for help in capturing the driver.
"Somebody might know something about this or maybe see a Chevy Trailblazer with some front-end damage, give us some leads, call us," Ortiz said. "We owe this to the gentleman that was struck out there and his family."
