SAN ANTONIO – A man has been taken to an area hospital after he became pinned in a vehicle crash with a tree overnight, San Antonio police said Monday.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. in the 7700 block of North Hollow, which is located not far from Huebner Road and Babcock Road on the city's Northwest Side.
According to police, the driver, a man in his 30s, became stuck after losing control and crashing into the tree.
Firefighters had to cut the roof off the vehicle to rescue the pinned driver, police said.
The unnamed man was taken to University Hospital for his injuries. His condition is not currently known.
At this time, it is unclear why the driver lost control of the vehicle. Police did not say if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
