SAN ANTONIO – Wet road conditions and a high rate of speed were the reasons for an 18-wheeler rollover crash along Interstate 35 early Thursday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened just before 2 a.m. along I-35 northbound at Loop 410, not far from Windcrest. First responders have since closed the access road.

According to police, the driver of the vehicle was going too fast for the conditions on the road and the big rig toppled over. There are no reports of injuries.

SAPD said no other vehicles were involved in the crash. It is unclear what, if anything, the 18-wheeler was hauling.

The San Antonio Police Department, the San Antonio Fire Department and EMS all responded to the call.
