SAN ANTONIO – Update (7:05 a.m.): All lanes of Interstate 35 have reopened following an 18-wheeler crash early Wednesday morning.
Traffic at one point was backed up to O’Connor Road. The crash happened before 5 a.m. on Interstate 35 North at Toepperwein Road, near Pat Booker Road. There is no word yet as to why the 18-wheeler crashed.

(Original Story) An 18-wheeler crash has shut down part of a major highway on the city’s Northeast Side early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened on Interstate 35 North at Toepperwein Road near Pat Booker Road.
According to preliminary information, it appears the 18-wheeeler struck a barrier in the nortbound lanes. It is not exactly clear what caused the crash.
At least two main lanes of Interstate 35 North are presently closed as a result of the crash. All traffic is being diverted to the Pat Booker Road exit. Authorities advise using an alternate route if possible.
