Hispanic Heritage Month kicks off at Market Square with El Grito de Dolores

Hispanic Heritage Month kicked off Thursday, Sept. 15 and a celebration in Market Square marked El Grito de Dolores. Friday is the official day of celebration for Mexico's Independence Day. Hispanic Heritage Month is a chance to learn about multiple Latin American countries. Many of their Independence Days fall in this special month that runs from today through Oct. 15.
