Fifty years ago today was the death of President Lyndon B. Johnson. The former president's death in 1973 has connections to San Antonio, as it's where he passed away. President Johnson suffered a heart attack at the LBJ Ranch and was flown to BAMC shortly after. In the days following his death, he lied in state in the LBJ Presidential Library along with Capitol Hill before being laid to rest on Jan. 25.
