Loved ones gather to honor local coach killed on West Side

Friends and family gathered Friday night for a balloon release at Copernicus Park for a local coach who was gunned down at an apartment complex. Donald Townsend was shot in the chest last month during a fight at an apartment on Lombrano Street. He died at the scene. Those who continue to mourn his loss say he was beloved by everyone who knew him. The balloon release event was held on Townsend's 31st birthday.
