Federal judge calls out City of San Marcos in 'Trump Train' incident
A federal judge called out the City of San Marcos in court in a case involving an incident that happened during the 2020 presidential election with a "Trump Train." The train with more than 40 vehicles driven by Trump supporters made national news after Biden staffers were surrounded on a campaign bus, saying they were harassed and San Marcos law enforcement didn't do enough to help them in 2020. The staffers sued the city in 2021, and earlier this year, those same staffers said the City of San Marcos didn't keep good track of the incident records. A federal judge agreed and said San Marcos was "out of line." Both sides have until Friday to reach an agreement on attorney fees.
