DOJ working to 'assess' situation along Texas-Mexico border after trooper's allegations

The Department of Justice said it is assessing the situation along the Texas-Mexico border. This comes on the heels of a Texas state trooper's allegations regarding migrants. This all stems from an email that trooper sent earlier this month, making several claims about how migrants are being treated. He raised concerns about the use of razor wire and alleged orders to withhold water from migrants, as well as to push them back into the Rio Grande. The Texas Office of the Inspector General is investigating.
