McCollum softball star overcomes adversity to shine on the field

McCollum High School softball great America Ramirez has an incredible story, filled with highs and lows. The senior, who will soon take her talents to Purdue, lost her father at an early age and had a devastating injury pause her career. Ramirez has a great family support system, including her mother, who named her America for a reason.
