Josh Teitge was the top vote getter in March for the Republican nomination for sheriff, capturing 44% of the vote. He faces the incumbent, Daniel R. (Dan) Butts, who received 33% of the vote. There is no Democrat on the primary ballot, so the winner will very likely be the Bandera County Sheriff next year.
