HOUSTON – The National Weather Service officials confirmed a tornado touched down near Fulshear, a small town west of Houston, Sunday afternoon.
The storm was embedded in the main line with a potential for heavy rain over the next few hours.

There was no reports of injuries or significant damage as a result of the storm.
Rainfall estimates may be upwards of 1-3 inches with some strong to slightly severe thunderstorms through Sunday evening.

Sunday night through Monday, another wave of potentially heavy rain will swing through bringing another round of thunderstorms on and off all day Monday and then again Tuesday.
Multiple days of heavy rain may produce some minor flooding across portions of East Texas.
