Kaiti Blake, Sarah Spivey to speak at free science event

Viva Science SA will take place Saturday, April 9th

KSAT Meteorologists Kaiti Blake and Sarah Spivey will be the keynote speakers at Viva Science SA on Saturday, April 9th.

Viva Science SA is a free, family friendly event that is focused on all things science and STEM! The event will be held at the Mays Center at the Witte Museum from 9am until 3pm on Saturday.

Those in attendance can visit various science booths with activities for the kiddos, grab lunch at local food trucks, and view cool science artwork. Sarah and Kaiti will also deliver a keynote speech together at 12:30pm, where they’ll talk about the science of weather, forecasting, and what it’s like to be broadcast meteorologists.

Viva Science SA is hosted by UT Health San Antonio.

Sarah is a Clark High School and Texas A&M University graduate. She previously worked at KTEN News. When Sarah is not busy forecasting, she enjoys hanging out with her husband and cat, and playing music.

Kaiti Blake is a child weather-geek-turned-meteorologist. A member of the KSAT Weather Authority, Kaiti is a co-host of the Whatever the Weather video podcast. After graduating from Texas Tech University, Kaiti worked at WJTV 12 in Jackson, Mississippi and KTAB in Abilene.
