FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • CHILLY MORNINGS: 30s and 40s through Sunday morning
  • COMFORTABLE AFTERNOONS: Highs in the 60s through Sunday
  • CHRISTMAS EVE: Possibility of showers and storms, warm
  • CHRISTMAS DAY: Warm, slim rain chance

FORECAST

Good morning! Clear skies and dry air are giving us a chilly morning. Expect 30s for the Hill Country, 40s around San Antonio to start. The afternoon will be beautiful. Sunny skies, light winds, and highs in the upper-60s are forecast.

Friday will be a repeat of today: a cold start and a nice afternoon. We will get a secondary shot of dry air, which gives a colder morning on Saturday. San Antonio likely will dip into the 30s, however, a freeze is not anticipated. We return to the 60s Saturday afternoon.

Sunday is when we start to see changes. Humidity will gradually return, giving us more cloud cover. A stray shower is possible late in the day, but anything we see would be very light. Small rain chances and mostly cloudy skies holdover into Monday.

Christmas Eve is where things get a bit interesting. Warm and humid conditions will settle into the area, while a storm system will help to generate showers and potentially a storm or two. As of now, temperatures are forecast to reach the mid-70s. It’ll be warm for Santa on Christmas Day, too.
