FORECAST HIGHLIGHTS

  • SUNNY TODAY: After a cold start, we’ll rebound to near 50°
  • CLOUDY WEDNESDAY: It’ll be cloudy and cold, but generally dry
  • COLD, DAMP THURSDAY IN SA: A cold rain likely in San Antonio
  • HILL COUNTRY MIX: A mix of sleet and freezing rain possible on Thursday

FORECAST

Good morning! Temperatures are cold, with many spots dropping to freezing this morning. However, we are running a few degrees above what would be considered a ‘hard freeze’. Temperatures will rebound into the afternoon to near 50°, thanks to sunny skies.

CLOUDS ROLL IN TONIGHT

Cloud cover will roll into the area by Wednesday morning, making tomorrow generally an overcast day. The lack of sunshine will make for a colder day. Highs tomorrow will only reach the low-40s.

A DAMP, COLD THURSDAY IN SAN ANTONIO

Rain showers will develop starting Thursday morning. More widespread rainfall will pick up throughout the day. In fact, some places could see more than a half of inch of rainfall. While temperatures will be in the 30s, San Antonio is likely facing just a cold rain. You’ll want a big coat and an umbrella all day on Thursday.

HILL COUNTRY MIX

The situation is a little more dicey in the Hill Country on Thursday. Temperatures there will hover near freezing, resulting in the chance for sleet and freezing rainfall. Impacts, at this point, appear to be minor. But, bridges and overpasses could become icy. Some light accumulation is possible. Snow seems less and less likely, with a small window for snowfall early Friday morning.

FRIDAY: CLEARING & WINDY

Any rain or precipitation should exit the area by Thursday night, with clearing starting Friday morning. By the afternoon, the sun will return, allowing temperatures to return to the mid-40s. It will be windy, however, keeping things chilly.
