FORECAST
Good morning! The cold rain has ended and skies are trying to clear. Clouds, however, will be off and on today as more cloud cover feeds in from the north of the backside of our storm system. Regardless, temperatures will rebound into the mid-40s today.
RAINFALL TOTALS
Most of us got a good dose of rainfall yesterday. Here are the numbers:
WINDY FIRST HALF OF THE DAY
Gusty winds will kick in this morning, with some gusts up to 30 mph. This will do two things: make for some wind chill values in the 20s and 30s AND it’ll help to evaporate any moisture on the roads. Why is that important? Well...
A FREEZE IS EXPECTED SATURDAY MORNING
Temperatures will plummet tonight as skies clear and winds relax. In San Antonio, temperatures are forecast to fall into the upper-20s. Low-20s are expected in the Hill Country. As we mentioned above, any moisture should be evaporated before we dip below freezing, meaning roadways should dry out. Still, you’ll want to keep an eye out for any lingering wet spots.
WARM-UP THIS WEEKEND AND QUIET NEXT WEEK
Temperatures will rebound nicely by Saturday afternoon and again on Sunday. The weekend looks great! More clouds roll in next week, but rain chances look to stay out of the forecast.
