SAN ANTONIO – A freeze warning has been issued for San Antonio and the surrounding area from midnight tonight through 9 a.m. on Friday, the National Weather Service announced.

Temperatures could dip as low as 25 degrees in higher elevations, making dangerous road conditions — including black ice — possible on bridges and overpasses.
San Antonio and points south will not get as cold.
KSAT Meteorologist Kaiti Blake says the upper-level low that dusted the Hill Country with snow Thursday morning will continue to move away from the city, but plunging temperatures could freeze the rain and snow melt overnight.

Residents with outdoor pets should take precaution, including bringing more vulnerable pets inside and providing extra warmth for larger ones.
