SAN ANTONIO – A San Antonio Salvation Army San Antonio team, which was headed to Florida to help with relief efforts after Hurricane Matthew, has been told to stay put for now.

The team of three was scheduled to leave Saturday morning for Tallahassee. The team was taking one of 10 Texas-based mobile kitchens headed to the state.

The Salvation Army Incident Management Team from Texas was ordered to stand down Friday afternoon.

The Salvation Army said the impact of Hurricane Matthew was not as serious as first anticipated, but disaster units in Texas will remain on standby in the coming days.
