NIXON, Texas – The city manager of Nixon was arrested Friday, police said.

Police officials said Manuel Zepeda was arrested by Texas Rangers on charges of interference with public duties.
Zepeda was booked into the Gonzales County Jail.
Police said the arrest came in the midst of an ongoing investigation that began two months ago.
According to the City of Nixon's website, Zepeda has been city manager since March 2014.
