BOERNE, Texas – The Boerne Independent School District has named Dr. Thomas Price as the sole finalist for the superintendent position.
Price currently serves as deputy superintendent and chief academic officer for Humble ISD.

Current BISD Superintendent David Stelmazewski will retire on June 30. He joined the district in 2008, with the opening of the district’s second high school and became superintendent in 2011.

“Dr. Price is an educator who possesses a wide range of leadership experiences,” said Boerne ISD board President Donna Sharp. “His record of success is impressive.”
Price has served in his role at Humble since 2012, which with more than 41,000 students is nearly five times the size of Boerne ISD.
BISD is rapidly growing and expected to surpass 12,000 students by 2025.

Previously, Price has served as a principal, executive director and superintendent at other school districts across the Lone Star State.
