SAN ANTONIO – An estimated 200,000 people are expected to march the streets of the city's East Side on Monday to pay tribute to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.

Following the march, a commemorative program will be held at Pittman-Sullivan Park. The program will feature a keynote address and performances by Stellar Award-winning gospel artist Isaac Carree, and Jeremy Green, a classically trained violinist and San Antonio native. The presentation of the Baha'i Unity of Humanity Award and the Rev. R.A. Callies Courage Award will be part of the program's highlights.
MLK holiday schedule of city services
The MLK Jr. Commission organizes the march and leads the community effort to stage various events honoring the late civil rights leader. A wide variety of educational, inspirational and celebratory events take place at locations across the city.
KSAT 12 and KSAT.com will provide comprehensive coverage of the march and program Monday, beginning with "Good Morning San Antonio" at 4:30 a.m.
