SAN MARCOS – The body of a 57-year-old man who had been reported missing was found near a popular summer recreational spot early Sunday morning.
Authorities recovered the body from the San Marcos river near the bridge at Aquarena Springs Road. The location is near Texas State University's Strahan Coliseum.

A release sent to students, faculty and staff at the university said water recreationists should avoid the area between the bridge and Spring Lake.
