SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police know where Albert George Turegano was last seen alive. They know where his remains were found. They're hoping science will help them close the 1986 murder case.
Turegano, 29, was at the ZigZag Club on the 2800 block of North East Loop 410 on Aug. 16, 1986. Police said he was last seen sitting at a table with four servicemen. Two are believed to have been in the U.S. Army, two in the U.S. Air Force.

Turegano, a music teacher, lived with his grandparents. When he didn't return home, they reported him missing Aug. 18. That same day, police said three forgeries were committed with Turegano's credit card.
Turegano's car was found Aug. 25. It had stolen license plates on it.

On Sep. 18, workers in a vacant field at Highway 90 and Loop 410 found human remains. They were identified as Turegano's nearly one year later, July 29, 1987.
"The remains did not have a skull and to this day, the skull has not been located," police said.
SAPD's Cold Case Squad is still investigating the crime.
"Police have some good suspects and with the help of the public and with new advances in DNA, police are hoping to solve this case," police said.
