Family members of a man who drowned in July held a special prayer vigil for him Wednesday evening.
Patrick Clark 's mother, Letisha Clark, said the family had taken a trip to Port Aransas on the Fourth of July, and that she had made a quick trip to the store when she got the call that her son had drowned.
To this day, Letisha Clark says she's been hoping that search crews would find her 21-year-old son.
She told KSAT 12 News that there were remains found, but it hasn't been confirmed that they belong to Patrick Clark.
"The police and the ambulance -- everyone was there," Patricia Clark said. "They searched and couldn't find him and we stayed there eight days just praying and praying."
She said the family has launched Project Pat to make something positive of the tragedy. She said they collect stuffed animals and donate them to local hospitals.
They say a drop-off site is at French Quality Cleaners on Pat Booker Road.
