Long lines wrapped around Cooter Brown’s Saloon Sunday as people bought plates of barbecue.
While inside, people participated in a silent auction as well as the sale of two custom rifles.
The sale of the rifles netted nearly $75,000. People also donated “thousands of dollars” in cash that is still being tallied. That money will go help the Deem and Phipps families.
Another $60,435 was raised from the silent auction and barbecue sale, an event organizer said on Facebook.
That money will go toward all three families.
