BOERNE, Texas – Kendall County Crime Stoppers is looking for information after 30 vehicles were burglarized in a neighborhood in Boerne.
"I came outside and the truck was completely open. The doors, the back end, everything was open," said Joseph Arredondo, who said both of his vehicles were broken into.
Arredondo said one of his most priceless possessions was taken from his red Chevy pickup.
"They took a pistol that was given to me by my father, some golf clubs that I had and then just ransacked the cars, just throwing things out," Arredondo said.
The burglaries took place Saturday in the Woods of Frederick Creek neighborhood.
"It's not a usual occurrence. Generally, this neighborhood is very safe, and the neighbors, we all know each other. We all kind of look out for each other and things like that," resident Lori Hedspeth said.
Police said the suspects used a credit card from one of the victim's vehicles at a Mini Mart and a McDonald's in Kerrville.
A vehicle was also stolen that same night from the same neighborhood, police said. The vehicle was later recovered in San Antonio.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspects is asked to call 830-249-8645. Anonymous tips can be sent through Kendall County Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-348-5323.
