San Antonio police said the two men were in a physical altercation, and Castro-Aponte left the scene in a vehicle. He returned on foot and shot the 19-year-old from behind, police said.
Castro-Aponte ran off, and the teen was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Castro-Aponte was arrested on Saturday and he is currently in the Bexar County Jail with an ICE detainer. Records show his pre-hearing is set for June 4.
