Gonzalez' girlfriend, Trudy Ramos, was arrested earlier as an accomplice. The Cisneros family said it was the power of prayer that led to the arrest of Gonzalez.

"All I want is to know why and an apology. That's all our family wants," said Cisneros' sister Araceli.

Araceli Cisneros said his arrest has brought relief to the family.

The capture came 23 days after Ahn Cisneros was killed. Araceli believes posting Gonzalez' picture on social media and passing out fliers where he was known to be helped.

Cisneros' sister went looking for Gonzalez at a Northwest Side apartment complex. She claims his girlfriend's family hid him from police for several days.

"It was like they knew. They said he was tired, he was tired of running, of them looking for him and he was ready to turn himself in," said Araceli Cisneros.

On Tuesday, members of the United States Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force tracked down Gonzalez.

Police said Gonzalez shot Cisneros in front of his girlfriend's children at a home in the 100 block of Forrest, then put Cisneros in the trunk of his car.

The car was later found in the 7200 block of Brandyridge near Loop 1604 and Culebra Road.

"It makes me feel a little bit better, a little bit more safe," said AJ Cisneros, the victim's son. The 16-year-old boy said Gonzalez's arrest is bittersweet.

"He's going to be put away for good, but the fact that I don't have my dad anymore, it's still there," said AJ Cisneros.

Police said Gonzalez and Ramos have both been charged with murder.
