SAN ANTONIO – A mother and daughter are among three people who were arrested Thursday night in a fencing scheme after police said they recovered more than $15,000 in stolen merchandise.
The 60-year-old woman, her 33-year-old daughter and the daughter's 29-year-old boyfriend were taken to the magistrate's office to officially be booked.

The San Antonio Police Department's fencing interdiction team conducted a search warrant at a home on Wescott on the city's west side. Police said much of the merchandise was in plain view.

"They were purchasing the stolen items, which is illegal, and selling the stolen items," Sgt. Don Gatten said. "They knew that the items they were buying and selling were stolen."
The stolen merchandise -- mostly high-end makeup and perfume -- filled three tables at the Prue Road substation.
Police said they are hoping to make more arrests in the case.
