WATCH: 2024 Battle of Flowers Band Festival features more than 30 local high school bands; winners announced

SAN ANTONIO – Students from more than 30 local high schools converged at Alamo Stadium on Thursday, April 25 for the Battle of Flowers Band Festival. The theme for this year was “Viva Amor.”

More than 3,300 marching band students, twirlers and performers from 35 area high schools competed in the event. Here’s a list of the award winners:

About the Battle of Flowers Band Festival

The Battle of Flowers Band Festival is the oldest and longest-running marching band festival in the country and offers high school bands a unique opportunity to perform together and encourage their interest in music, according to BattleOfFlowers.org.

The Battle of Flowers Band Festival was first held in 1937.
